This trellis is constructed as described in the All New Square Foot Gardening, a book I highly recommend. We have the right netting – big enough to put your hand through and tough enough not to break – but we didn’t manage to get it attached properly. We basically draped it evenly over the trellis and by the time we got back to it, the squash was climbing.
Vertical space is a great way to get more production out of a small area. We’ll be making a second trellis next year, no doubt.
