Saturday defied the forecast of rain, so we headed over to the garden to do a little harvesting and cleanup. The south half of the plot yielded one zuchinni, two quarts of beans, eight carrots, seven stalks of rhubarb and a grocery bag of kale. Jim also took some time to spread newly arrived wood chips on our path, beet box and under the rhubarb.
On the way out, I stopped at the community herb patch for a big handful of fresh thyme, basil, parley and sage.
A very satisfying visit.
What a super bumper crop of Kale. Your garden still looks great.
