This vegetable is a definite winner. In a space 8 feet long and 20 inches wide, we grew twenty full-sized rutabagas and a few small ones as well. I like the versatility of rutabaga. We eat it mashed, roasted, in stews and raw on vegetable platters. It will hold in the garden long into the fall, so we don’t have to worry about harvesting and processing in bulk. We just pull a fresh one when we need it.
