Once again, our beautifully lush Cascadia peas grew higher than their support. Once again, just as they were blooming, we had a tremendously heavy rainstorm. And, of course, once again the vines fell over just as a gorgeous crop of snap peas was in sight.
I hope the onions manage to survive under there for a couple of weeks, because trying to stand those pea vines back up now would be disastrous. And I do hope I learned my lesson this time!
If it isn’t bugs it’s something else, but what a wonderful pea crop.!!!!!! Mine have fallen over onto the beets and some creature, maybe a mole, is chewing off the stems. Talk about fighting off wild life to get a meal.
Oh no. You are going to have to buy Jim that mitre saw so he can build you a trellis. (or buy it for yourself so YOU can build the trellis.) Great fun.
