The fences have been popping up like weeds. Collectively we know a lot more this year. Cottontails gnaw through plastic fencing. Cottontails squeeze through large gauge mesh. Cottontails crawl under wire that isn’t anchored to a base.
The few remaining plots that aren’t fenced might as well put out a sign that says “Buffet”. Or do what we did last year – grow only vegetables that rabbits won’t eat.
