It’s getting harder and hard to find any kale leaves that are free from aphids. We’re gradually cutting the the big kale plants out, salvaging what leaves we can, and sending the rest to the compost pile. Fortunately, the new crop of kale is coming along beautifully. Aphids don’t like winter, do they?
I have to wonder where the cavalry was while this attack was going on. I’ve only seen one ladybug in our plot so far. And she was not eating aphids.
