One of the last things we did in the fall was to transplant the rhubarb from our old plot to our new one. It looks like the operation was successful and the plants are quite happy in their new location. I won’t be picking any stalks this year since that is recommended to let the roots grow strong. Doesn’t matter. I still have some in my freezer from last year.

The weather on the weekend was great, and the soil was lovely and friable, so I planted a few radish seeds around the edges of this bed. In theory, the radishes will mature (28 days) before the rhubarb gets big enough to crowd them out. In practice – we’ll see.

Transplanted Rhubarb is doing fine
